Today I bought the domain “paymyfans.com” & set up preliminary web details. As I am not open for business yet I think I am allowed to get feedback w/out violating any yahoo polices. You can view the preliminary concept at:
http://www.dollhousex.com/pmf
The forwarding hasn’t kicked in yet, nor metatags for searching yet.
The basic concept is to get unsigned bands to make available their albums (on a non exclusive basis) for purchase at $12. They get a cut of that and any advertising/affiliate revenue the site makes.
For ‘fans’ they buy the music & as a benefit they get the right to earn money from referrals. $5 for any direct referrals, $1 for once removed referrals, $1.50 for twice removed referrals and $2.50 for three times removed referrals, sort of like a MLM. Also if they refer just one other fan they get a free download of a second album. The fan gets a renewable income to purchase more music & possilby an income stream for life as they support more bands. Sound good?
Agree $12 a little steep however CDbaby sells many unsigned for this price. For less money, it forces the reward incentive to be a lot less and I think that would be worse and not better. Any thoughts on that, too?

Who else wants to get rid of the MLM scammers?
There are entirely too many people who are using this forum to try to expand their downlines. It would be very easy for Yahoo to get rid of these people. This is a violation of the community guidelines. They ARE trying to sell something. They are an annoyance for those of us who really want to use this forum as it was intended to be used. I say we the users who’ve had enough finally try to get these people off of here once and for all. If enough of us sent e-mails about this to yahoo answers they may do something about this. Report every errant post you see immediately. Anyone with me on this?

in MLM, all you need is 2 thing to succeed: reliable product / services and huge load of traffic to site.
Which is the most important between the two, i can say both but want to know what ppl think

What is the best home-based business to start with a small investment that does NOT involve MLM?
I am looking to start my own business. I have only a small amount of capital to invest. I would like to hear the comments and experiences of others who have done so successfully. I am not interested in MLM of any type.

I am wondering if we could sell fitness and wellness products in Vietnam considering that they’re already starting to become developed. People there might want to start earning a little for themselves now.

You know what I mean? In MLM it is taught that when people say its a pyramid you explain to them that the pyramid is the same thing as any business, with lots of workers on the bottom, managers higher up making more money, and the top people making the most.
When you consider that in MLM the people at the bottom are not making any money (at least not enough to live off of), yet in conventional workplaces the people at the bottom are at least making a wage, does this comparison hold water?
