What company?
What company?
What happened?
How did it affect you?
How much did it cost?

I never did it, but people I know who engaged in such activity always report large amounts of monetary loss, often combined with a garage full of unsellable junk.
There are just as many horror stories in MLM as there are in any other business i.e. Real Estate, insurance, cars sales, you name it. Or do you think that today’s millions of homes being up for a foreclosure are due to loses in MLM? I’ll bet you anything that none is. Just check in your own neighborhood.
The main reason people fail in MLM is first of all that they have no clue as how to evaluate, separate and recognize good company from a scam. Good company must have all seven foundation blocks firmly in place, but you have not asked about that.
Second — They do not treat it as a real business
Third — They lack the business skills
Fourth — Poor marketing; many still being so silly as to make a list of friends and relatives plucking their wares to them ending in an NFL Club (No Friends Left)
Fifth — No time input
Sixth — Insufficient funds
Seventh — Lack of commitment
Eight — they totally lack the understanding of working ON their business versus IN their business. Those who fail in MLM work IN their business.
Providing you do not know how to evaluate NM company and you do not know the detailed brake down to all eight points above, I strongly advise you to stay away from any MLM or Network Marketing endeavor for you will fail miserably.
Like any business, it takes the Mind Set and the learning curve and most of all a mentor who will show you step by step how this business is conducted.
MLM and NM companies by the way also host very large number of extremely wealthy groups and individuals, who right now are buying those foreclosed homes as part of their Real Estate investment portfolio. I personally know several of them.
Just stroll down these Yahoo! question pages and see what majority of people are offering as a good business oportunity to others. It only shows you that they have no clue as to what they are doing.
I have been doing the MLM thing for awhile now and I have lost money and made a great amount of it at the same time. It really depends on the company and how it fits you. The first one I tried what Herbalife and it was just not for me and I lost a lot with it. I am now with a company called The Berry Tree and myself and my team are doing great because its easy to run. You dont have to always be on the phone there are no products that you have to buy. There is only one product so it makes it easy and after you have 8 people in your downline it pays for itself. Plus the company rotates and puts people under you for free.
So it all depends on what you do and how you go at it. No matter what business there is always a ton of them that dont make it. The reason why you hear about mlm more is because everyone can afford it and you are more likely to hear about it from people you work with etc. The fact is that people are looking for quick easy money and that just doesnt happen. So they get into the MLM business thinking its easy and not treating it like a businesses and fail. It takes work and you need to spend more than a few months on it to actually make money. But in the end it pays off and you get a nice paycheck each month.
If your looking to get into one you can email me at if interested hearing about what I have done well at.
Hope this helps!

I’m guessing by your questions you are part of the three W’s
World wide whiners
Those who don’t succeed in business often blame the business rather than taking a cold hard look at how much effort or lack there of they actually put forth. Any business weather it be an MLM or traditional business takes WORK For those looking to make a quick buck…FYI an MLM is not the venue for them because they find out it takes time to build a network and often they walk away from it feeling like they were scammed.
For any MLM it also takes people skills because that is what you are dealing with people.
For those who actually give the name of the MLM tisk tisk … one finger pointed at another leaves 4 more pointing back at you.
When you get involved in any MLM it should be stated at the informational meeting that it is Hard WORK!!!!
Anything worth having usually is.
